Found these drawings while digging around looking for other files. When John K came out with the cartoon The Ripping Friends a few years ago, I drew a picture of the star Rip. I tried to give it a John K-brand water color splash background reminiscent of Ren and Stimpy, but i think it's a bit unbalanced in the piece.
Not only was Rip the angriest of the Ripping Friends, he was voiced by one of my favorite comedians Mike MacDonald. Funny stuff.
This is without the aforementioned bg. i think the color tv test pattern works better.
Original sketch - tho in this one he's standing. I loved the over-exuberant energy of John K's muscle men: muscles bursting, barely able to contain their violence. Very fun to draw.
